~Firkins~

Happy Thursday!  The week continues to fly by! Today I am sharing with you a very new collection that I have started.  I have wanted to start collecting early firkins for a long time.  I have especially been drawn to the early painted firkins.

So I am very excited to share with you two stacks of early firkins that I have.  One stack is in the keeping room and the other is in the sun room.  I love them!  They are very addictive, so I think I see more firkins in my future!  Take a look and let me know what you think! = )

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!  Only one more day and it is the weekend.  Make today the best day possible by doing a random act of kindness.  It will make you and someone else happy! = )

Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More.  I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will continue to come back as often as you can.  Don't forget to look for Yesterday Once More on facebook.  I would love to see you there too.  You can also follow Yesterday Once More on pinterest by clicking here.

Love the firkins! Only recently found your website, and it has become one of my favorites. I appreciate your mention of RAKs. You know, it doesn't have to be something large, even a smile, nod, and opening a door or pulling out a cart for another shopper is a good thing! Have a joyful day.

Hoi Dan,
Here a question from a Dutch girl! What is a firkin? It looks like a wooden bucket, but it can also be a wooden box for storage, will you please let me know! I love them! The look fantastic, greetings

I started collecting firkins about a year ago. I had never even noticed them in shops before! Could you possibly do a small tutorial on them? I would like to know how to date them and how to spot reproductions and an idea on price ranges. If you are too busy, I certainly understand. Just keep the pictures coming:)

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I really appreciate them. I am not an expert on firkins, but I will do a post in the near future letting everyone know what I do know about them! I hope you are having a great evening!
