~Two of My Favorite Samplers~

I just finished designing and stitching two samplers that I think are two of my favorite samplers that I have made so far.

The first sampler is a pineapple design that says "Welcome Friends".  I am really happy with how this one turned out.  I wasn't sure if I could make this one or not.  I have thought of many other designs to add to this sampler.  One of my goals is to make it into a Colonial Christmas sampler.

I call this sampler "Woolens".  It is three sheep in a pasture.  I am really happy with the way this one turned out too.  This sampler came about because I was kind of stuck about what to stitch next.  I decided that I had not done sheep before, so I thought I would try it.

If you have time, please let me know what you think of these two samplers.  I would really like to hear your honest thoughts.

Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More.  I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will continue to come back as often as you can.  Don't forget to look for Yesterday Once More on facebook.  I would love to see you there too.  You can also follow Yesterday Once More on pinterest by clicking here.

Samplers have a way of growing on you, don't they? Before you know it, you are addicted to them! Love both of your creations - especially framed in black (gotta love the black!). Looking forward to seeing your next sampler. (love the Marilyn quote!) ~*~Lisa

All of your samplers have been nice, but I think the pineapple is your best work. You seem to be stretching yourself to do more complicated work--and that is how you progress in your art!! I agree about the black frames--they set the stitching off beautifully!!--Jan

I love samplers and I think you do a really wonderful job. I am especially partial to sheep, so I really like the one with the three sheep. However, I also love the pineapple and the ones you've done of schoolhouses. I think you could easily find a market for either your patterns or your finished product (I know I would certainly be interested!). Keep up the good work!!! Joyce

Honestly, I would be very proud to have either one of your samplers hanging in my house...and my hubby says I am pretty fussy! They are wonderful. You should be very proud of yourself, Dan. You have really proved that you can do it. They are lovely. I love the "Marilyn" quote. Everyone deserves to twinkle!!

Hi Dan,
I love all of the samplers you have been doing lately. Sooo cute! I wondered when you have time if you could share with us how you dye them and where you get those awesome frames.
Have a great weekend and stop by my blog for a visit soon.

They both look great. Before quilting and knitting I was an avid CC stitcher and I think I have a pineapple kit tucked away in my things that is years old and still unopened ... oops. Should have made it when I bought it but didn't.

Hi, Dan:
I think your two samplers are very beautiful. The black frames really do set off the designs beautifully. You did a great job designing and your finishes are perfect!

Well I am no expert as I am craft challenged, but my lay opinion is that they are wonderful. I love the little sheep heads. I have a small collection of sheep things so I am partial of course.

Hi Honey
Oh how I love your new samplers. It would be hard to pick my favorite of these two. Both are just so beautiful.
Your making me want to find my DMC and start stitching again. Probably would be good for me. It is addictive isn't it.

Just thinking of you and wanted to come by and say hello.
Sending you much love and wishes for a beautiful creative week ahead
