~A Collection of Samplers & New Year Wishes~

I thought it would be fun to share some of the cross stitched samplers that I have made this year. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of all of the samplers I have made. This is just a small sampling of them.

I started cross stitching in August. I had never really cross stitched before. I did make two little ornaments when I was in junior high that were cross stitched, but that was it.

All of my samplers are original. They are hand drawn by me on graph paper and then stitched. I then tea stain my samplers to give them an aged look. Just looking at the few pictures I have taken, I can see that I have gotten better with each sampler. I guess that is true of anything we do. The more we do, the better we get.

Most of my samplers have been made as gifts so I only have a few for myself. I keep saying I am going to make some for me, but I haven't done it yet. Take a look at my samplers and let me know what you think.

Which is your favorite?

I also wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy New Year. I hope that 2012 is one of the best years yet and that you find complete happiness, contentment, and peace in the new year!

Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More. I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will continue to come back as often as you can. Don't forget to look for Yesterday Once More on facebook. I would love to see you there too.

If you like, take a look at my blog merrywindfarm.blogspot.com. I have been a stitcher for over 30 years, and still love it! Love your blog, your decorating, and your articles in APP.

I like them all but if I had to choose one it would be the one with the house from Illinois (go figure) would fit right in with my lifestyle and where I live :)
Good job Dan

I love them all! And you framed them too...ask any seasoned cross-stitch addict & I think most of us will say we have loads of unfinished projects completely stitched but never framed...lol. I think my fave is the 'saltbox' one, but they are all awesome :)
Happy New Year to you too!

Happy New Year Honey. I am back this morning. I wanted to show my girlfriend your beautiful samplers you have made this past year.
She is amazed like me how many in such a short time and how beautiful but I told her how you are with everything in your life so she understands now why these are as lovely as they are. Just like you

Beautiful work Dan. I especially like the feather tree ones. You are certainly talented. Working in Sp Ed certainly teaches us patience, flexibility, and generosity. You have all three.

Dan, those are wonderful! Only since August?!? Wow, you are coming along beautifully! I really like the Simple Country Treasures one that I'm sure was for Kimberlee. They are all wonderful but I will have to say that my favorites are Autumn Blessings, Give Thanks, and Simply Christmas. All the frames are beautiful also. Great job!

Looking forward to following your blog this year. Gonna stay on top of it now so I can keep up with all your talent. =]

Happy New Year~
