~Little Pumpkins & LIttle Gourds~

Yesterday when I was at the grocery store, I picked up some little pumpkins and gourds to add to our fall decorations. This is what I decided to do with them.

These gourds are in a wooden basket in the master bedroom.

I also put some little pumpkins in the corner cabinet that is in the keeping room.

I put some little pumpkins in some of my regular displays to add a touch of fall to the space.

I also placed some pumpkins in the windowsills. I really like how they look!

Let me know what you think.

As soon as we go to the pumpkin patch, I will be adding some bigger pumpkins and gourds to my displays so be looking for that in an upcoming post.

Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More. I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will continue to come back as often as you can. Don't forget to look for Yesterday Once More on facebook. I would love to see you there too.

I love your fall decorations. Love it all!

I have a question for you. Not sure if you can/will answer in this comment section (I know some bloggers won't). My sister is a 4th grade teacher and she has trouble keeping her home neat and clean. She is not a neat freak by any means but she says it's because she teaches and has tons of paperwork and stuff. I know you are a teacher and I wondered if you could share some hints. How do you maintain a clean house? Also, do you have an office or work space in your home and will you share pics? You might have already shared them and I just don't remember. Thank you for any advice I can pass along to her.

Hi Laura!

I am a teacher and I am also a neat freak! = ) Fortunately, I do not have a lot of paperwork to do at night. I am lucky enough to get most of it done at school. However, we do live a very busy life. We like to exercise, I am writing for the magazine, and I am always doing some kind of project. Not to mention the three energetic puppies that we have to keep up with.

Our house is usually picked up and clean. Not that it is "picture ready" all the time, but for the most part it is picked up and presentable. We spend a lot of time picking up after ourselves. If we get it out, we put it away. If we cook, we do dishes right away. We try to stay organized which helps a lot. We usually clean one area of the house a day. Picking up and cleaning a little at a time makes it a much easier job. The longer we go between cleaning the harder it is and the longer it takes to clean. I guess my advice would be to keep at it. I hope this helps.

We do have a home office and I have shared pictures on my blog. This weekend, I will try to take some newer pictures and share them again, so be looking for those soon.

Thank you for your comment and I hope you are having a good week!

Thank you for your reply! I think being a neat freak must help because it's always in the back of your mind to clean up as you go. I will be looking forward to the pics of your home office and I will also look back thru your blog for the older ones. Thanks for the reply!
