~Yard Work Once More~

Jeff and I spent most of the weekend doing yard work. We spread some mulch, trimmed some bushes, planted some flowers, washed patio furniture, gutters, siding, and windows, we painted some doors and poles, and hung some flags. It was a busy weekend, but it was so nice to be outside and not stuck in the house. After the last two weeks, it was a real blessing to get back to normal life. Here are some pictures of what we did.

I added a third flag to my door box. Now I like it even more than I did before.

We planted red and white geraniums with vinca vine.

I love the way the ferns look in the washtubs on the front and back porch!

We put pine bark mulch in the back to keep the "P Pack" from dragging in the fine mulch. So far, we have been very happy.

Don't mind Jeff's swim trunks. I cannot keep him out of the water!

The doors on the shed were white. Now they are kiln. The poles were just wood that had not been treated so I painted them white and we hung another flag.

I painted the door on the side of the house kiln too. I love that color!

So, what do you think?

I have received several emails from people saying that they could not leave comments. I know blogger has been having some trouble lately. Karen from My Colonial Home had a link on her blog to another blog that suggested how to fix this problem. I have done what was suggested, so we will see how it works.

Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More. I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you will continue to come back as often as possible. Don't forget to look for Yesterday Once More on facebook. I would love for you to stop by there too!

Dan you and Jeff have been very busy but everything looks so nice.
Now I know how I am going to decorate my door box but don't know where to find the flags like you have. Tell Jeff I know why he loves to stay in the pool, it is beautiful. Kay

You must be feeling a whole lot better, Dan! I am so glad. Your home is beautiful, as always. What I like the most about it is....it looks so neat and clean. And I love the 'kiln' doors. Out front, it sure does have curb appeal. Very, very inviting!

SO glad that you are feeling better and was able to get outside and do a little yardwork and house decorating as well. It does the mind so good to be able to clean, paint and garden.

Your home looks wonderful. I love your swing as well. How peaceful it looks.

Love that kiln color, as always Dan a perfect choice. Love your box on the front door with the flags, it is so Summer and patriotic as well. Country all the way.

Dan I can not believe after you were so sick honey that you did all of this over one weekend.. lol
Everything looks really pretty and I love your wash tub the way you have it displayed with plants.
Both of you must of really worked hard so I hope you did get to enjoy your awesome pool.
You and Jeff amaze me and I love coming by here and checking on you two.
I too have tried to leave you comments but I always figure it is my computer.
Think of you so often wondering how life is treating you.
Hope you enjoy your summer sweetie.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me such a great comment.
As always I never know how one of my memory stories is going to go over. lol
Missed the last three days of work but have to try and return tomorrow. I always hate going back after calling in sick especially for three days. Just can't understand why after a year I am still having issues.
Take care honey
Love ya
Maggie

Everything is as neat as a pin and so very attractive. Your pool reminds me of the one I once had. The interior shots from a previous post are also great.
