~Two Special Gifts From a Very Special Person~

Some of you may remember that my mom gives all of us a special gift every Christmas. Every gift my mom gives for Christmas is special. She always puts so much thought behind everything she gives. She spends countless hours trying to please all of us. Every year, she makes us a special gift. This is a gift that she makes herself. I think it is everyone's favorite part of Christmas to see not only what they receive but to see what everyone else receives. This year my mom made this quilt for Jeff.

I can only imagine all the long hours it took her to make it. She knows how much Jeff loves Charlie Brown so that was the theme. When Jeff opened it it brought him to tears. He was so touched that my mom would spend that much time on something just for him.

She made the Charlie Brown and Snoopy herself. They are perfect. She is a very, very talented lady!

For my special gift she took all the articles that I wrote for the first issue of A Primitive Place magazine and framed them together.

I love it and I will cherish it for many years to come. We are all so blessed to have a mom who loves us enough to give of one of the most precious things on earth...her time.

Thank you for visiting Yesterday Once More and thank you for all the birthday wishes for Jeff. They all made him feel very special. Always remember that "The best things that you can give children, next to good habits, are good memories."

~Happy Birthday Jeff~

Today is a very special day at our house. This is the day we celebrate the birth of a wonderful person. Today is Jeff's birthday!

I could never say enough nice things about Jeff. He is one of the most caring, compassionate, smart, and generous people I know.

He loves the P's x 3, books, music, and even me. He is the kind of person who gives money to a man standing on the street asking for money and the Salvation Army collectors every time he passes them. He organizes an angel tree every Christmas to give needy children in our area a good Christmas. He is not afraid to show emotion and love. I joke and tell him he would hug a pole if he thought the pole was sad.

He supports me in every way possible. He was so proud of me when our house was featured in Country Sampler and carried the magazine around showing everyone and would not take any of the credit for it. He encouraged me to contact A Primitive Place magazine and ask if I could do some writing for them. He didn't even flinch when I told him I wanted to repaint the entire house after we had just painted it two years ago. He works as hard as I do on the house and never gets frustrated with my strive for perfection and OCD tendencies.

This world is a much better place for having Jeff in it and he has made my life and the life of everyone who knows him so much better. I feel very thankful and blessed to get to share my life with such a beautiful person.

Please join me and wishing Jeff a wonderful birthday and pray that the coming year is one of the best yet!

All My Best,

~Christmas Once More~

It is Christmas Once More and...

The snow fell right on cue.

We've counted down the days.

The stockings have been hung.

The greenery has been spread.

The trees have been decorated.

The Santas and snowmen have appeared.

The presents have been wrapped.

The tables have been set.

The Christmas cards have been sent and received.

There is nothing left to do except to sit back and say, "It truly is a wonderful life!"

Thank you for making it a lot more wonderful!

With Christmas Joy,
